FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does lip filler treatment hurt?
Sensitivity varies. Numbing cream can be used if desired, and the product may also contain lidocaine. You may still feel pressure, pinching or brief discomfort during the injections.
How long does swelling last?
Swelling is usually most noticeable during the first few days and then gradually settles. Bruising and uneven-looking early swelling are also possible. Contact the clinic if pain, colour change or swelling is severe or worsening.
When can the final result be assessed?
The immediate appearance includes swelling. BeautyBell assesses the settled result after approximately three weeks.
How long does the result usually last?
Hyaluronic-acid filler is commonly estimated to last about 6–12 months. The product, amount, metabolism, previous treatments and lifestyle all affect duration.
What is the difference between 0.55 ml and 1 ml?
The amount alone does not determine the result. A smaller amount may suit a subtle first treatment or a limited correction, while 1 ml provides more material for shaping and balancing. Anatomy and the agreed goal determine the appropriate product and amount.
Can lip filler migrate?
Filler can occasionally appear outside the intended area. Risk is influenced by anatomy, product, injection technique, previous filler and treatment frequency. Suitability and existing filler are assessed before treatment.
Can lip filler be dissolved?
Many hyaluronic-acid fillers can be treated with hyaluronidase when clinically appropriate, but dissolution is a separate procedure with its own risks and may require more than one assessment or treatment.
When can the lips be treated again?
A repeat treatment is considered only after healing and an individual assessment. BeautyBell generally evaluates a first planned size-building treatment again after about three months; more frequent treatment can increase the risk of overfilling or migration.
When can makeup be used?
Avoid applying makeup directly over fresh injection sites on the treatment day. Follow the individual instructions given at your appointment and use clean products and tools when you resume.
When can I exercise or use a sauna?
Avoid strenuous exercise for 3–7 days and excessive heat, including sauna and hot showers, for 48 hours unless your personal aftercare instructions say otherwise.
Who should not have lip filler treatment?
Treatment is normally postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflammation, active cold sores, or significant acute illness. Medicines, allergies, previous filler and relevant health conditions are reviewed individually before treatment.
How is the product selected?
The product is selected at the appointment after reviewing your anatomy, previous treatments, tissue characteristics and goal. BeautyBell currently lists Revolax Deep, Stylage M, Restylane Kysse and Juvéderm Ultra Smile; final suitability and price are confirmed before treatment.
General information does not replace an individual suitability assessment or personal medical advice. Suitability, contraindications and the treatment plan are always assessed before a procedure.
